DCSD Ponderosa
Envision Mechanical Engineers provided professional engineering services for the mechanical system upgrades at the 250,000 square foot Ponderosa High School for Douglas County School District. The mechanical systems upgrades included replacement of the existing 14,000 MBH cast iron boiler plant with a new 14,000 MBH cast iron boiler plant, replacement of the existing 300-ton water cooled chillers with new high efficiency 280-ton water cooled chillers and associated cooling tower sump tank, kitchen upgrades including kitchen hood, exhaust systems, and plumbing systems, replacement of the existing non-compliant grease interceptor with new code compliant grease interceptor and associated grease drainage piping, refurbishment of all 24 existing indoor air handlers, and a full building pneumatic to DDC control system upgrade including air handlers, VAV boxes, dampers, valves, and accessories. The project was completed summer of 2020.
